Thornhill Baseball Club
The Thornhill Baseball Club was founded as a not-for-profit, community service, volunteer organization in 1985 and had its first season of play in 1986. The Club has had a Constitution throughout its history. The objectives of the Club are set out in the Constitution and are the same now as they were back in 1985:
- To develop the fundamentals of baseball;
- To provide for all duly registered players an opportunity to participate in the activities of the Club regardless of ability; and
- To promote good sportsmanship, behaviour and community spirit.
The Club’s membership includes:
- the Board of Directors;
- registered coaches, assistant coaches, managers, convenors, sponsors and umpires; and
- registered players, and parents and legal guardians of registered players.
The Board of Directors that is elected annually at the Club’s annual general meeting that is held in November manages and administers the Club’s operations and affairs. These meetings are open to the entire membership of the Club as are the monthly executive meetings.
